Another common question is "why does it take so long to exchange contracts once an offer has been accepted?". In association with our partner, OneMove, experience has shown that by using the free OneMove service, the time between offer and exchange can be reduced by up to three weeks. The way it works is that the OneMove panel of solicitors and mortgage brokers use a newly developed system to exchange information and the whole process is managed by a Personal Moving Consultant (PMC) who updates everyone at each stage of the process. The buyer and the seller are given a Blackberry which is sent regular updates by the PMC. You have the option to buy the Blackberry once the property purchase has completed.
