Quite simply, we started this company to make the buying and selling of family homes an altogether better experience. Charlie & Kate Snell

Many agents try to impress sellers with the number of people they show round. But it’s hard work keeping a family home tidy for buyers, especially for those who turn out to be ’not interested’. That’s why we give potential buyers really good prior knowledge of your home, so those who do come round are interested ones, not timewasters.

For example, your property details will have:

  • expert photography – and lots of it
  • a floor-plan
  • a map
  • the closest schools, playgrounds, supermarkets…
  • what the parking is like
  • and really meaningful descriptions
  • Everyone knows that most people look for property on the internet not in the local newspaper. Especially those London types.
    So instead of putting your property in the paper for a week using a grainy photo, we advertise your property on all these websites – until it’s sold.

    We also spend a lot of time and money on getting found at the top of Mr Google’s brilliant website too.

    Then there’s famil-e-news, our weekly e-newsletter packed full of things for families to do at the weekend, plus our most enticing properties – all designed to bring people back to the website (and come across your property of course).

    Because lots of buyers = the best price for your home.

    When we value your home, we’ll show you comparable properties on the market and sold recently, so you know that our recommended price is a realistic one.

    And if you do ask us to sell, you’ll be able to check the website yourself for exactly how many people have looked at your property online, how many we’ve sent details to by email or post, and how many we’ve shown round. You can also see a summary of each viewer’s thoughts about the property. Because with us, what you see is what you get.

    Many agents’ contracts tie you in for 6, 8 or even 16 weeks, so it’ll be that long before you can change agents should you wish
    We take a different view. If for some reason you don’t like what we do, you can leave after just two weeks. But please do tell us why, so we can try to fix it. There will be no smallprint suprises – everything is upfront, in clear type and plain English.

    No boys with slick hair and rally cars. If that’s who you want selling your home, you won’t like us at all.

    No, this is not just a PR stunt. We believe very strongly in limiting our environmental footprint as much as practically possible. (Charlie used to work ’green-side’). Everything possible is printed on recycled paper, and failing that from sustainable forests, and we recycle as much of our waste as can be.

    We’re working on replacing our diesel car with an electric one as soon as it’s practical (it’s not as easy as you might think), and we turn up to as many appointments as we can on the company bicycle! In the meantime, we believe we’re Britain’s first Carbon Neutral* estate agency. So if you believe in these things too – a vote for us is a vote for our natural environment.
