Green and leafy, upmarket and pricey, Wimbledon is one of the more villagey London addresses. A good six miles south-west of the city, Wimbledon retains its own flavour and pace. It’s world famous for its tennis championships, yes, but there’s much more to this suburban haven than Bollinger and backhands. Johnny Turner looks at a part of London apart from London.
