How to get to the Region:
Altinkum, Didim and Greenhill are located in the county of Aydin on the West Coast of Turkey facing the Aegean Sea.
They are situated between two airports: Izmir which is approximately 150km away and Bodrum which is approximately 80km away. It takes 1.5 hours to get to Izmir airport and 1 hour to get to Bodrum airport.

Investment in Turkey
When you buy a property or land in Turkey you can take advantage of not only the sun, sand and the sea, but also of economic events, financial markets and high interest rates.
Turkey is a developing country and as such receives high levels of international funds due to the success of its economic programme and negotiations for full membership with the EU. Bank investment funds, state treasury bills, gold or real estate are all valid investment tools some bringing higher income for higher risk and others lower income for lower risk, as in all investment markets.
Purchasing a Property and Land in Turkey
In Turkey, this is much more straight forward than in other European countries, and it is all done with solicitors, notaries and through the Land Registry Office. The actual purchase can take place in one day, with a military check on the location of the property taking up to 3 months. If you are buying off-plan or to order, then your contract will specify the time scales, conditions and payment plans agreed. At the end of this procedure, you become the legal owner with the title deeds. You are protected by your notarised purchase contract if the military check is not approved, although this is extremely rare. It is legally compulsory for both vendor and purchaser to be present at the time of exchange of title deed, although either can elect a power of attorney to act on their behalf. At all stages, you will have a legally registered translator to explain and countersign all documents for you. Please refer to our website for full details.
The Military Check:
All foreigners buying property or land in Turkey are subject to a military check. This is not a personal check on you, but rather a check to ensure that the land or property is not located in a government security zone. Once you have signed a contract to purchase, the vendor is obliged to release his ownership under contact, subject to a satisfactory military check. Before the title deeds can be transferred to your name, we will go with you to the Title Deeds Office and put in the application for this check to be carried out. It usually takes 3 6 months for this to complete.
Since the zones are well established, we know where they are and we therefore do not offer land or property for sale to foreigners in these areas.
Foreigners: Land and Property Purchasing Law 29th December 2005
As long as valid legal limitations are respected and mutually observed, foreign individuals (not companies) can buy property or land in Turkey to be used as a workplace or residence that have been reserved and registered in their construction plans as such. The total area a foreign individual can purchase cannot exceed 25,000m2, but the Council of Ministers is authorised to grant permission up to a total area of 30,000m2.
What is a TAPU?
A TAPU is a Title Deed to a property or piece of land. It is issued by the TAPU Office and is a legal document showing the owner, the size and location of the property or land, its rateable value and its location. If the land or property is in joint names, it will also show the share allocated to each owner.
