For a fee they will look after all aspects of your property. A property manager is on hand to ensure your property is looked after - any repair or maintenance work that may be required to the property is arranged by the property manager who will obtain estimates and pass on to the property owner for his or her approval before any work commences.

A property manager has an extremely varied job role. Day-to-day business can involve answering queries tenants may have; this could be dealing with questions relating to the tenancy agreement or the extension of that agreement. A property manager will also have a solid knowledge of property law as he or she will be required to offer guidance in this area.

If and when disputes arise between tenants and landlords, the property manager will need to mediate between the tenant and landlord to ensure disputes are resolved satisfactorily.

As he or she can be responsible for a large property portfolio, a property manager must be highly organized and able to juggle the different demands that occur during the working day. The most important part of the role is for the property manager to ensure that tenants and landlords receive the best possible service at all times.
