Church End is situated close to the High Street in this pleasant rural setting, with local shopping, schooling and transport amenities together with recreational and leisure amenities. The village is historically renowned by the legend of The Child of Hale, after whom the local public house is named. He was reputedly a 9ft giant, who lived between 1578 - 1622 and was a local hero.
