Portsmouth Harbour can be reached by a short ferry ride and, from Portsmouth Harbour station, which is just under a mile from Rope Quays, trains run direct to London Waterloo. By road, the M27 (Junction 11) is a short drive away, linking to the M3 near Southampton. Southampton airport is 14 miles away. Directions From the M27 - Exit at Junction 11 and follow signs to Gosport along Eastern Way. Bear left under the viaduct onto the A32 (Gosport Road), then bear to the left at the V junction onto Fareham Road, passing Fleetlands on the left. At the double roundabout go straight over onto Brockhurst Road, then follow the signs for the town centre onto Forton Road, passing St Vincent College on the left. Continue onto Mumby Road and the development can be found after approximately 100 yards on the left hand side.

"We have spent lots of time in our waterside apartment at Spinnaker View over the last few weeks enjoying the fantastic Spring weather. Our days in Gosport have been spent enjoying long wonderful walks along Stokes Bay with Lucy, our Golden Retriever and weve found a fantastic real pub, The Jolly Roger, in Priddys Hard great beer and great food! My wife Judy, who is not very good with heights, has even made it up the Spinnaker Tower! It seemed a shame not to make the most of our residents discount! Our son and his girlfriend have spent a few days relaxing in our apartment, making the most of the ferry and the great choice of restaurants, shopping and other entertainment in nearby Gunwharf Quays. Our friends have also stayed in the apartment (with and without us!) and couldnt get over enjoying their breakfast on the balcony in the streaming sun with such a stunning view. And when we dont have people to stay, theres always something going on! Just recently, Ark Royal was in port and was given a dramatic fly past salute! Mr & Mrs G There are plenty of things to see and do in the area, from watersports in the Harbour and on The Solent, to exploring the many museums in the area, several devoted to the long military history of this region. The beautiful New Forest makes a lovely day out, and there are ferries from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight and the continent. Take the Gosport ferry over to Gunwharf Quays to enjoy the huge selection of designer outlets on offer and you can even make a day of it with dinner at one of their many restaurants, or perhaps catch at film at the 14-screen Vue cinema. The ferry runs until late into the evening, so getting home to Spinnaker View at Rope Quays at the end of the night will be a breeze. Closer to home, the St. Vincent Leisure Centre provides a host of sports facilities including a swimming pool, and there is another pool and a gym at Holbrook Recreation Centre. Gosport also has a popular ice rink. The town itself offers a good selection of shops and a twice weekly market the largest on the south coast. There are good schools for all ages in Gosport, the nearest to Rope Quays being Newtown C of E Primary School, Brune Park Community Secondary School and St. Vincent College for sixth formers.
